New requirements to renew your State Electrical License

First thing, if have not received your HBC ID#, you will need to either email eleclicensing@ky.gov or call the electrical licensing office 502-782-7800 to receive this number.

Step by Step Instructions:

1. Access the Portal:

The official website for the online licensing portal is https://dhbc.ky.gov/HBCOnline/login. This portal is used for license renewals, document uploads, and payment of fees.

2. Creating a New Account:

Once you are at the portal site https://dhbc.ky.gov/HBCOnline/login you will click create a new account and then you will be guided through several steps to setup your account.

2025 International Dues Increase

Accordingly, effective July 1, 2025 there will be an increase of one dollar ($1.00) for the I.B.E.W. per capita, which applies to “A” membership ONLY! This will increase July – December 2025 dues for “A” membership to $52.00 monthly.

The following rates will apply to the International Office and Local #816 portions of all dues payments for July 2025 through December 2025.

“A” Members —$52.00 per month
Breakdown
Per Capita –  $24.00/month
Pension Fund – $23.00/month
Local Dues – $5.00/month

“BA” Members —$30.00 per month
Breakdown
Per Capita $24.00/month
Pension Fund – N/A
Local Dues – $ 6.00/month

In accordance with Article IX of the IBEW Constitution, $24.00 per month from each “A” member will be deposited in the IBEW General Fund, and the additional amount paid by “A” members ($23.00 per month) will be deposited into the IBEW Pension Benefit Fund.
